Vintage Cheddar and marmite tear and share Christmas Tree

What's better than digging in and sharing a delicious Vintage Cheddar and marmite pastry at Christmas? This is super quick and easy to make and if you're in the 'hate it' camp you can replace the marmite with pesto!

INGREDIENTS

2 x ready rolled puff pastry sheets

200g Vintage Cheddar grated

As much Marmite as you can handle 

1 egg

METHOD

  1. Unroll the first sheet of puff pastry 
  2. Spread as must Marmite as you like over the surface 
  3. Sprinkle on the cheese 
  4. Press the second sheet of puff pastry on top 
  5. Cut a large triangle (Christmas tree shape)
  6. Score a trunk down the centre
  7. Make 2cm cuts along each side of the trunk 
  8. Twist each section for they make an individual section
  9. Cut of a star from the left over pastry and add to the top of the tree
  10. Egg wash and bake for 25 minutes or until golden and crispy!
